We received another good shot of rain and the river is just peaking now. This should bring in a fresh batch of fish to replenish the lower river. There are still fish around in the lower river, but it seems that there are better numbers in the middle sections with pods of fish holding in very specific locations. We’re not seeing many fish on gravels yet, but that should be just around the corner.
Matt and Fred were up on Friday and stuck a few fish swinging flies on the two-hander and one on an egg pattern. They actually flew up in Fred’s plane and I dropped them off on the runway after our float. Pretty cool.
