• Lake Michigan ecology continues to confound: after 25 years of intensive lake trout recovery efforts, natural reproduction likely non-existent.  That is a bummer.

• In other, slightly more equivocal Lake Michigan environmental news, MidCurrent notes that former Indiana DNR chief John Goss hilariously named “Carp Czar” by White House.  Goss will coordinate regional and national response to Asian carp threat.  We have trained common carp to beat up Asian carp, so if you need a hand John, let us know.

• Great Lakes Guru points us to a great Michigan promotional movie from the 50s (?)- If you seek a pleasant peninsula, look about you.
