Kevin snapped some pictures from Walhalla Bridge today. Kind of depressing. As you can see, it was frozen solid. While it is common for the lower sections of the PM to freeze over, sometimes for the entire winter, it is much less common for anything from the Indian Bridge/Walhalla Bridge area to freeze over. It usually takes a combination of cold, wind and snow, things we’ve had in spades for the last week, to create a total freeze over.
But do not despair. With the first bit of warmer weather this section will open right back up. And the first bit of warmer weather appears to have arrived. It’s a balmy 28 degrees here in Ludington right now.
