Pere Marquette fishing report- August 24th

WHOOOOOAAAAAAAA BUDDY! Look what has finally showed up in the Pere Marquette River: fresh, hot, chrome salmon. With the warm summer and persistent southerly winds the salmon run has been been very slow this August and the fish are just now beginning to trickle in with some good rain over the weekend and cooler temps. Expect stained water in the lower river with visibility from 2-3′. Hot, bright colors were the ticket. Fish are following all the way to the boat so be on your toes the entire retrieve. Oh, and be ready to do serious battle with these fish. They are ferocious.

We still have some great dates open for early salmon. Drop us a line if you’re interested.
