The PM has been up and dirty with a couple days of good rain. Fresh fish are coming in every day and the fishing has been about average for April. Kevin got Chris into a couple nice steelhead on Friday and a few very nice resident browns as well, a 19″ and 22″ fish within a half hour of each other. The Pere Marquette has some great fishing for big brown trout. When the water is up and off color like it has been, unless you know the middle sections of the river like the back of your hand, you should probably stick to the flies only water in the upper river which tends to clear more quickly.
