Pere Marquette River Fishing Report- October 29th

The steelhead numbers remain excellent, though the water level and clarity are still low and clear. The lower river has color as usual but anything upstream of Walhalla is crystal.

Eggs are still on the menu but this should be changing as salmon number decline.

Stealth. If you can see into a hole, then the fish in that hole can probably see you. Most of my fish are coming from deeper and darker areas, this is simply because the shallower fish move off as soon as they notice us.

The steelhead pictured below is my biggest of the season, she measured 33 inches and was super-duper thick, I guessed her at over 15 pounds.
