The hair hackle craze has reached northern Michigan. I was in Traverse City yesterday at Right Brain Brewery, a fine place to enjoy a pint or two. Directly adjacent to Right Brain is Salon Saloon, “you sip, we snip”, where you can enjoy said pint while getting your hair did. I needed a haircut so in I went and what did I find? Beautifully barred saddle hackle. Three of the lovely ladies already had feathers in place and there was an entire display devoted to the stuff.
If you’re in need of some good hackle and can’t find it at your local fly shop, stop in at Salon Saloon. Only $7 a feather.
