Pere Marquette fishing report- Oct 24th

We’re finally getting some rain here on the Pere Marquette which is fantastic.  We need it.  And while we’re seeing more and more steelhead in the upper river and even caught a very nice fish in the lower river the other day, as you can see below, the rain should really help get these fish moving out of the big lake and into the river.  Fall steelhead are the most beautiful and aggressive fish in the river.  They take flies well and will often chase them right to the boat.  They jump, run, and are absolutely chrome.

Absolutely chrome, people.  Absolutely chrome.
