George and George Jr. made what appears to be the final lower river Thunderstick trip with me on Wednesday. It was a sad day indeed. Thundersticken’ is awesome. Can’t wait to get back at it next year. We landed a couple fish and got a few more rips, but most fish we saw were headed upriver quickly. The fish we landed were pretty dark for lower river fish.
The first wave of spawning fish in the middle river is mostly done and some fresher salmon are working the gravels now. The upper river is loaded with spawning fish as well. Rejoice!
