- Pure Michigan gets some props in USA Today: “a campaign to replace images of gutted cities and shuttered factories with visions of vineyards, lighthouses, waterfalls, sand dunes and the nation’s longest fresh water coastline.” The great thing about Pure Michigan, and the “rebranding” of the state in general, is that Michigan really is that good.
- New York Times runs fish pain “discussion” piece featuring several folks from the fly fishing industry. Lynne Sneddon’s bit is a good reason why critical thinking classes should be required in school. Quite a few implicit premises floating around in her argument. Identify them for full credit. Earn an extra ten points for each implicit premise that you can reject.
