A very cool map produced by Nasa’s Earth Observatory showing the aboveground woody biomass for the entire continental US. The northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan is a little lighter than I expected, but still a good shot of woods in the headwaters of the Pere Marquette River, right where we need them. Be sure to click on the map to enlarge.
