For a second time in a week Ludington is under a gale warning. This means winds between 35 and 50 mph. The nearshore forecast is calling for waves to eleven feet tonight. Earlier today the lake was rocking with winds gusting to 40 knots.
We all took a fishing break yesterday, but with yet a bit more rain and this unsettled weather pattern more fish have surely moved up the Pere Marquette. Charter captains out of Ludington are canceling a lot of trips with these high winds. So maybe you should fish on the river with us? Not one of our guides have ever had someone get seasick on the river.
