Third Coast Fly

Steve and I had a great time in Chicago over the weekend.  The Early Show was a success with a wide range of folks in attendance.

The highlight for me was when one of the Girl Scouts asked if they could see how a fly was tied, instead I had her take a seat at Steve’s vacant vise (he was giving a presentation) where she knocked out a fly.  This led to more than a dozen of the other Girl Scouts tying their first flies, instructed by Austin and myself.

Before and after show festivities were great, with Kurt and Jen putting on a top shelf mexican fiesta on Friday.  Thanks to Austin and Cathy for the hospitality on Saturday night and Sunday.

Steve and I are honored to be the featured speakers at The Early Show this weekend.  The Early Show is being presented by the Illinois Smallmouth Alliance and the DuPage Rivers Fly Tyers.  The event will run from 9 to 4:30 on Saturday, November 10th at the Batavia VFW Post 1197.

The long awaited Third Coast Fly shirts have arrived and we are already in short supply, we have a few short sleeves left in large and one x-large.  There is also one 2x-large in long sleeve.  Prices are $25.00 for short sleeve and $28.00 for long, shipping included.  The shirts are printed on pre-shrunk cotton.
