As we’ve mentioned, the PM River is having as good a fall steelhead run as anyone can remember in a long time.
The good news is that the fishing keeps improving, with the last couple days being excellent. The bad news is that winter is here with several inches of snow on the ground. At this point, the upper and middle river has enough warmth to keep the shelf ice and slush to a mimiim and the steelhead relatively aggressive.
The streamer bite is on. Great news for those of us addicted to that slam and willing to freeze our butts off for just one more hit.
With slightly warmer weather predicted for next week, I’m looking forward to some great fishing.
