The rain last week caused the river to rise and the steelhead to rush upstream. This week has marked my best steelheading of the fall and I think it is only going to get better, that is if winter doesn’t happen too soon.
I’ve been serving eggs each day so that’s what they’ve been taking, light orange has been my best color. Steve and Walt have been on the swing in the lower river and with good results. In fact they both had a few very good days with streamers.
Yesterday the PM had an average water level with good color. Though it rained all day and I expect the river is going to turn high and muddy for the weekend.
