Our good buddy Walt called last night and he was very excited. And if Walt is excited it can only mean that he had a great day of fishing.
Walt has a winter habit of wandering down to a section of the PM River near his house to swing streamers for a few hours on most days that are anywhere near nice. Well yesterday Walt landed more than a steelhead per hour, all on streamers and he said a few were really nice fish. I can also see from the pictures that Walt had all this action on his custom bamboo two-hander.
Walt reported that all of the fish were dime bright, so it looks like the high water from last week did bring in a nice batch of fresh steelhead.
