Last week I had the pleasure of fishing with Dave Hosler from Pile Cast. We headed to Traverse on a day that was a little to cold but I had a new engine that needed a test run and Traverse seemed like as good a place as any.
We arrived at the first boat launch and it was being dredged, so we headed to another. We launched the boat, the new engine started, ran well and we headed to our first spot. It was loaded with carp and some smallies.
While there were a lot of fish, they weren’t in a bitting mood. We did manage to hook a few including my first of the year.
