pm river fishing report – march 14th

Aggressive steelhead everywhere and seventy degrees in March.  But, and this is a big but, the water is way high and way dirty.

The fly water is in pretty good shape but the middle river only has about 15″ of visibility and I don’t have any reports from the lower river but I’m sure it is a mess.  I fished the middle river today and while my instincts told me the river should be receding, it looked like it was still coming up.

I’ve thrown a lot of egg and small streamer combos but everything I netted had an egg in its mouth.  My best eggs have been pink/chartrues, orange/pink and orange/glow.  The stones were out and I’m sure they’ll be a good choice as soon as the clarity improves.
