And by homemade I mean Kevin shot the squirrel then used it to tie flies. Spring’s Wiggler is a fairly old Great Lakes steelhead nymph. Kevin believes it was originated by Ron Spring who ran a tackle shop in Muskegon. It’s easy to tie and fish love it. And if you can get out on a crisp fall morning with your squirrel dog and shoot your own fly tying materials, it’s a win win.
